My First Introduction to Qigong
At the age of seventeen, I started learning Chinese Kung-Fu. I was fortunate to meet my teacher, Lyndon Cleghorne at work. This allowed me to have many long discussions on martial arts in addition to training. “Elder” Cleghorne studied under “Elder” Harry Castel at Alan Lee’s Kung Fu WuSu Temple in New York City. A few years into my training, Elder Castel formulated his own unique approach to martial arts and founded Warriors Of The Sun Fighting Arts (WOTSFA). This system incorporates various martial systems from around the world in an open-minded manner. During my eight years of continuous training, I was introduced to martial qigong (Chi-Kung). The focus was to utilize various qigong exercises to cultivate qi (chi) for use in combat applications. Also, to develop discipline techniques allowing for executing specific feats such as breaking materials (i.e.cement slabs and bricks).
A Different Path
At the age of twenty-five, I started a digital marketing agency, “Rhythm.” This was an all-consuming endeavor where many sacrifices were made, mainly my health in order to grow and reach levels of success. The pinnacle achievement was selling the agency to a world class digital agency based in New York City. I ran the company as CEO for twenty six years, from 1996 to 2022. Around 2014, I found myself feeling extremely out of balance and off-centered. Fortunately, my journey was about to unfold in a beautiful way.
A Re-Introduction to Qigong
In the Spring of 2014, a friend referred me to Russ Anderson, a qigong master that studied under Master Kuang Ju (Robert) Wu and Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson among others. After receiving qigong treatment sessions once a month for six months, I found myself feeling centered and much more balanced. It was an amazing experience for me. In January of 2015, I began studying under Master Russ Anderson learning qigong for the purposes of health and healing. This has been an amazing, unfolding process which I have come to realize is a life-long journey.
The Present Day
Since 2015, I have conducted over nine hundred qigong healing sessions and have dedicated countless hours to studying, learning and energy cultivation. I continue my WOTSFA training which also incorporates healing methodologies.
On August 25th, 2024, I graduated in a doctorate program for Chinese Energetic Medicine taught by Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson. With the skills, knowledge and experience I have acquired, I continue to further advance my abilities. I actively conduct energy healing sessions in-person and remotely. I also share qigong by teaching and presenting at events.
